To describe our wedding day one would have to illustrate it by.... sprinkling a bit of magic, add a large helping of God’s love & presence and put it together with two beautiful soul mates destined for each other and our closest family and friends. Words cannot describe the absolute joy and overwhelming emotion that I experienced walking down the aisle to meet my future husband; smiles and tears could not be contained or hidden under my veil. My groom – handsome as always – was too nervous and excited to see his bride; but all nervous feelings were set aside when at last we met at the alter to say our “I do’s” and “I will’s”.
Our wedding was held at La Cigale in Port Elizabeth; beautiful gardens and private pathways throughout the garden created a very whimsical and romantic feeling where we got caught up in love and happiness as we marvelled at each other. Our reception was fun and friendly; guests were welcomed with canapés and fingers snacks as well as the soulful sounds of the “guitar guy” as he entertained our guests under the canopy of the chapel. Throughout the reception it was evident that everyone was having a good time; with many smiles and laughter to be heard all around.
What we will never forgot about our wedding day is that something special and magical took place at that alter on the 26th of February 2016 – there are no words that can quite describe how much more we have connected as a couple when we made a commitment and exchanged vows ... “where you go, I will go, where you stay I will stay, your God will be my God” – This is my solemn vow.
