Married on Dec 28, 2016 in Western Cape

WOW....that warm fuzzy feeling of love like displayed in 1 Corin 13 (sacrificial love, unconditional yet so real)..

It was a beautiful hot summers day, we had a sleepover with the bridesmaids and flower girls a short evening of pampering sessions (massages, nails, drinks and snacks) as one of my bridesmaids celebrated her birthday as well..

We entered the gate of Houwhoek Inn and suddenly my stomach unraveled into butterflies and giggles of mixed emotions (mostly nerves and excitement)..we got out the cars and the photographer was preparing us to enter the chapel. We had the most beautiful sunset wedding, within the chapel with warm embrace that filled with air. The decor was mostly earthy colours and gave a calm yet warm feel to the entire venue with the most gorgeous furniture, handcrafted decor, warm wood textures and green pastures plugged and displayed everywhere between the beautiful Overberg mountains. It felt like the entire day was captured within Gods natural art frame.

The music at the chapel ceremony was extremely beautiful, there was a Saxophone entrance for the wedding march, a musical piece by the well known and talented Edwin and Andrea Mitas accompanied by Grabouw's congregation musical masters.

As each of us pledged our vows before our family and friends, I felt overwhelmed knowing I'm marrying the most charming, hardworking, charismatic, loyal and funniest husband ever. My heart was pounding with happiness. Our reception was lit by our MC whom was my brother (a real comedian himself) and after all the speeches we had soft music provided by our DJ/ friend. The food was covered in tables of buffet from lamb, to pork, beef, seafood, salads , warm vegetables and continued with a buffet dessert as well. Its mouth watering just thinking about the delights everyone could enjoy.

We had so much fun with the photo sessions, catching up with our guests coming from near and a far. The most special part was that both our parents are alive, healthy and could cherish their children's day as we pledged our vows and oaths before the Lord. Our daughter could be a part of this memorable day, a relationship so rare.

Our love fairytale... I would do it alllll again without a heartbeat of doubt. As the quote goes...there are tons of love stories, but none quite like ours...
"Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever . Psalm 23:6"
