What a dream! The past decade leading up to our wedding, I feel like I cannot comprehend the past that we have built together. It all began in high school, when we came upon the fact that we were in fact in primary school together and were too timid to acknowledge one another. What a beautiful start to a life long commitment! Who would have thought this high school crush would be my best friend, lover and soul mate. Our wedding was out of this world! We chose to hold an intimate celebration among only close friends and family. The ceremony was held under a whimsical willow tree amongst the vineyards on a small wine farm in Montagu at Cabrieres d' Avignon. The host, also Jane, was extraordinary in accommodating us and putting our wishes into action. Moments before I had to walk down the aisle, my shoe strap broke (of course there must be something that doesn't go 100% right!). This didn't quite phase me and I was fully prepared to walk down the aisle with one fully functioning shoe, and a hobble. But luckily my bridesmaids came to the rescue and we managed to fix it with nail glue, staples and plasters! One could tell just by over looking our wedding celebration that this was indeed a very personal affair as once the speeches started there was not one dry eye in sight. My husband and I were so lucky to have a special moment to ourselves, to enjoy and actually appreciate the moment of our unity, sharing a glass of wine (and a selfie of course!) before entering the hall to all our loved ones! We will always cherish that moment and smile sheepishly to each other when we chat about it! We both wish we could be one of the guests at our own wedding, to experience it all over again. I cannot wait to spend celebrate our anniversary with my husband forever and always!
