As I think back on that day I cannot help but smile and thank God for the beautiful place and surroundings, Our ceremony took place at a little chapel in Simons town and the ceremony soon followed on the premises. Lindsay and I were blessed to get to spend the most important day of our lives surrounded by God, beauty and the people we love most.
Everything ran smoothly and as we walked out of the chapel I was overwhelmed by the amount of support we had. I hid from flying rose petals, bubbles were blown celebrating the love we share, acknowledging the commitment that has been made between husband and wife. As we exchange vows (we wrote out own vows, yes we did) I cannot help but cry, cry because I, I was getting the day that every girl dreams of. I hug and hold guests as I walk pass. I'm overwhelmed, I'm excited but most of all I am happy.
We walked into a hall of +- 220 guests all smiling and clapping and I thought to myself Lindsay we have finally done this! The hall in classic white with hessian covered jars on the tables. Elegant yet classy - I fell in love with life, my life!!! Everything went so smoothly as we laughed and ate and then Lindsay took me to the dance floor and just like that he swept across the dance floor dancing to : She loves me by James Ingram. I could not love him more than what I did at that very moment.
I believe in pots of gold at the end of rainbows, I believe in fairy tale weddings and true love. I believe in love and laughter and everything that goes with it. In my heart I have this, I can only thank my husband for this, for loving me even after knowing me. I love you and thank you to all who made our day beautiful.
I never believed in heaven on Earth until the day I met my Husband, my angel. He protects, comforts, loves and respects me. I love you Lindsay
