They say: "you will know when you have found "THE ONE" We are perfect examples of that. We've known from the day we met that we were destined to be together. It feels like yesterday when Tiaan asked me to be his "girlfriend" (11 YEARS AGO) Then he asked me to be his wife and now we're so excited to start this next chapter in our life and so happy we can share it with you all!! Where do I start? The first time I saw Tiaan i was 9 years old running around in my jean overalls on the park, playing with my Barbie dolls. At that stage in my life all boys had cooties and so I did not even give him a second look. My family ended up moving away and about 5 years later we moved back into that area. By that time I was very much into skateboarding and so was he. So it was all just kickflips, heelflips, pop shove-its and me riding goofy and him mongo. We use to all go and "hang out" together and I was just one of the boys. So we all became friends. Other view years passed and I was about 16/17 years old. I decided to let him know how I felt and he told me that he felt the same way but we both did not want to hurt our friendship in the process but our feelings for each other was so big that we had to give into it. It was not long after that that he asked me to be his girlfriend (like the gentleman he is) (18 November 2005) I can now tell you how the next 11 years of our life's together went but I feel that most of you were there and saw it all. When it came to our engagement, Tiaan was under strict instructions to only pop the question after my braces came off. And so he did. Needless to say this was the best weekend of my life. Just like the fairy-tale I wanted. I know that I found my soulmate and I ask myself this: Is he the one? ABSOLUTELLY Does he make me happier than I ever imagined I could ever be? ABSOLUTELLY Am I excited to start this new chapter of marriage in my life? ABSOLUTELLY
