Anthony and I met on a hot autumn day, after a brave encounter on Clifton 2nd beach. We went for drinks that evening, and hit it off immediately. Ant met my parents a week later, and impressed my dad so much I got the "thumbs up" then and there!
We started planning our life together almost straight away - booked a trip to Greece, planned on moving in... And soon enough, we got engaged in the park right across from our flat we share in Greenpoint. After months of planning and organising, we pulled off an amazing day and night in Cape Town. The wedding was held in the Greek Orthodox Church of St George, in Woodstock. It is a beautiful, dramatic space and as Ant is Greek, we wanted to carry on that tradition and take it with us as we started our journey. After the very traditional, and beautiful wedding ceremony, we came into town, to the Taj Hotel. The wedding reception was in one of their venues, an old bank which is known as The Reserve. Our photos were amazing in the city, and with mostly family as our bridal party, we could really be ourselves and just bask in all the love and happiness we felt. Pre drinks with old world champagne saucers, a live band, and delicious canapes was the perfect teaser for our main event! Soft light, gramophones and deep purple touches made the most amazing setting for our guests. Our wedding was just incredible, the speeches were special and touching, paired with delicious food and the greatest band and DJ out there... Nothing short of a fairytale!
