Our Wedding was on the 29th of October 2016. Our Wedding ceremony was at St Mary's Catholic Church in Pietermaritzburg and our Reception was at Thorner Country Estate. Our colour scheme was red, pink and silver. Red because it's Chéyne's favourite colour and pink because it's mine! The colours worked so beautifully together!
I got ready at my parents farm, near Eston and Chéyne and the boys got ready at the venue, Saturday morning was beautiful, I was so happy that the weather looked promising, the sun was shining, with crystal blue skies! As most brides, can relate, my morning started off emotional with a few tears being shed, but thereafter, it was all full of excitement and running around!
Hair was done by Sue and our make-up by Brittany Jane Smith hair & make-up.
I had my dress made by Trish Ollive, she is amazing! I always knew that I didn't want a white dress, cause that's not me, I'm bright and I either wanted a coloured dress or a white dress with colour and so I went with the latter to be a little traditional... it was no easy task for Trish and we even had to dye the lace to get the right pink! I loved my dress, it was everything I had imagined it would be, and best of all, it was so me and I knew Chéyne would love it!
Everything was so magical and perfect about our day! It was worth every penny and best of all, everything about our day, was so us! The Catholic Church ceremony, with the songs and readings, to the reception with the décor, food, Ice- Cream cake and the music, it was a bit of both of us- Portuguese and South African, filled with our favourote things! We couldn't have had a better day- finishing off at 4am Sunday morning- it was one hell of a party! We could've relived that day over so many times, we just had such a blast, and best of all it was the beginning of a new chapter in our something special book of life...
