At the majestic Kavinga Guesthouse in the heart of the Lowveld, my husband and I went full out romantic, pale white, blush pink, crystal glass, gorgeous lace and lots of hand made bead work done by my truly amazing mother who stuck by my side throughout a once in a lifetime memorable journey. All this came together in a building covered in a stunning green Virginia creeper. The beautiful venue overlooked the distant Lowveld mountains and farm lands, where you could hear the echo of the beautiful bag pipes playing as the guests arrived, this was one of the main reason why we wanted to get married outside under a stretch tent as the weather was unpredictable, but we were blessed with rain, which helped bring the romantic feel to life, with a beautiful fire place that lit up the room and brought warmth to the cuddling couples, everyone couldn’t wait to get up and dance! As I walked down the aisle next to the man who loved me first, as he whispered in my ear on his last breath how beautiful I looked, I knew then he had approved and the man waiting for me by the alter was chosen by God and with that he gave me strength to look at my father and tell him how much I Loved him, and let it rest in his heart that I will always be his little girl. My main lady at my wedding was my 15-year-old dog who had the honour to walk down the aisle first as she had walked along road with me, as pure as ever in her white tutu. The grooms bestman was not only a man close to his heart but closer to mine as my one and only brother gave his speech at my wedding I couldn’t help but thank the Lord for blessing me with such an amazing brother. The food by Zest Restaurant was delicious, and the guests couldn’t contain themselves with the candy bar. The mood was right and the happiness in the reception was simply contagious you couldn’t help yourself from smiling throughout the night.
