On a cold and rainy Midlands September day at Orchards Wedding Venue in the Caversham Valley, the mist rolled over the hills as I was lead down the aisle by my father to a packed chapel, the room filled with the scent of penny gum & perfume, pastel shaded flowers and baby’s breath hanging from the rafters, and of course all of our closest friends and family.
After the ceremony, guests made their way to an old converted stables area where they enjoyed a harvest table including a huge spread of local foods. They sipped Champagne and were treated to a live acoustic set whilst we were having our photo shoot down at a river among the willow trees. White umbrellas were the order of the day!
The reception had a soft and elegant feel to it. Again, pastel coloured flowers in old wooden Coke boxes littered the room and the glow of candles and massive wood fires brought warmth and life to the room. Games were played between speeches and then a beautifully plated dinner was served. Guests enjoyed a great selection of Champagne and Wines. The DJ set the mood and guests certainly partied the night away!
It was an unforgettable day – the best one of our lives!
