Where do I start.... Hot summers day in the Free State, My wedding theme was " traditional old & day vintage", using pastel colours. The ceremony was held in
Welkom, at the old Presbyterian Church, And the venue was just out side of Welkom on the Bultfontein Road on an Old Dairy Farm called The Melkan.
That morning my bridesmaids joined me for a breakfast at a beautiful guest house in Welkom, where we all got ready,The make-up artist, hair stylist & photographer joined us at guest house. When it was time to go to the church , an old London cab picked me up, and I arrived at the church ,where my younger brother was waiting for me, to walk me down the isle, that was an emotional experience,The church service was so special, the pastor spoke half in English and half in Afrikaans, after the church service we went to take photos on the farm, and then shortly joined our family and friends to celebrate. Everything was perfect, and so beautiful. A long awaited day, and all the hard work we put in paid off, as we did everything ourselves, which made our day extra unique. The Bridesmaids dresses,we died in tea, to give it the beige colour I wanted, and The ribbons made by my mother. The groomsman's corsages as well as the Grooms, I made, and their ties were made by my mother. I made my 2 Bouquets & my hair clip, my garter and veil were handmade by my mother, and my dress was specially Crochet for me. The gorgeous cake ,was made by my mother too,as well as all the sweets at the "Sweeti Bar" . All vases (bottles) on the table we painted, and the paper flowers were
handmade by me . As well as the table seating's plan and all decor. A memory that always brings a smile to our faces, our best day, the day we became Mr & Mrs.
