Our Wedding day 29 August 2015 ~ The most amazing fairy tale imaginable.

The highlight of my day besides marrying the man of my dreams was being able to be walked down the aisle by my 80 year old dad. This was a lifetime blessing that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

My dream was always to have a winter wedding or something in between winter and spring and this obviously came with a few challenges; however we were prepared to take it as it comes and still make the best of it. Leading up to our special day we had to keep an eye on the forecast which predicted that it would rain on the day. This meant that some of the plans would not have been able to transpire, nevertheless nothing would ruin our day and the rain would just be seen as showers of blessings.

The day arrived and I was in my dad’s arms as we walked down the aisle at the magnificent Lourensford Wine Estate. I looked at the skies and the beautiful mountains and realised that God blessed us with a double rainbow. This was the most breath taking view I have ever experienced as I have never seen something like it and I am so grateful that our photographer managed to capture this glorious God created vision.

The décor was incredible and I was excited to be able to use some of my own ideas and personal touches to make it my own. I did not have a specific theme but our colours were nude, soft pinks crystals, pearls and a touch of gold. The venue with its magnificent chandeliers complimented the décor and everything just came together so beautifully.

There was definitely a lot of entertaining factors at our wedding. Our maid of honour surprised us with a RAP SONG of how my husband and I met- this was extraordinary and definitely something that we will remember forever. We also had a comic sketcher that drew pictures of our guest that could be taken home as a memorabilia. Later that evening I surprised by husband and our guests with fire dancers that had everybody talking as this was definitely something extraordinary.

The speeches the first dance and the father and daughter dance were heartfelt and we had the guest in tears throughout the day. A day filled with love, laughter and so much fun….a priceless advantage in the quest for LOVE that last a life time.
