Mandy Roux (West)

Mandy Roux

Married on Aug 29, 2015 in Kwa-Zulu Natal

Natalie, Matron of Honour, writes:

David & Mandy Roux were married at Cranford Country Lodge, in the Midlands, on Saturday the 29th of August 2015. High school sweethearts, the two have been inseparable for the last (almost) 12 years. Last year, whilst on holiday in Zanzibar, David asked his first love to be his last love.

Mandy was the ultimate DIY bride; she made everything! Each lunch break, for a year, her and a work colleague would tirelessly spend their time creating all the décor for the wedding. It was spectacular! Sprigs of lavender, candles adorned with lace, burlap placemats, tree trunk towers - a beautiful, country-style wedding that perfectly reflected the couple's down-to-earth & relaxed vibe.

As for Mandy herself, I feel she is a perfect candidate for 'Bride of the Year'. She's the most selfless person you'll ever come across; she gives of herself for others constantly and never asks for anything in return. She's had her fair share of hardships in her life; none of which have made her bitter, instead Mandy has overcome them all and become a remarkable person. She's determined, honest, loyal and humble - and I was beyond proud to stand by her side as her Matron of Honour. She deserved to have the most amazing wedding; which she did - but I want to honour her even more, and that's why I'm putting her forward as 'Bride of the Year'.
