The most perfect day of our lives!
We've been going out for almost 6 years when he proposed on top of Table Mountain, and like most engaged girls do, I started planning immediately!
Rawsonville is my hometown, and Thinus and I moved back after we both got work "this side of the mountain" in 2014. Our "Happily Ever After" started on the 28th of March 2015 at Die Eike with the most perfect day we could have wished for!
The day finally arrived, and after all the stress of planning the wedding, I was as calm as cucumber. Throughout the planning stage, I said to myself that I will not have anyone or anything ruin our wedding day. If something goes wrong, just smile and wave, because you only have that one day that you will remember for the rest of your life!
We had a "first look" before the ceremony, which helped calm the nerves a lot! This also made time for some couple photos, as well as photos with our parents. I will recommend this to anyone as you still get your "walk down the isle"-feeling in church, it just makes both of you more relaxed (and excited)!
The best feeling EVER, is when you walk out of church, with the church-bells ringing louder than ever, and walking into a confetti-shower!
Our decor was plain yet elegant, and the venue looked perfect! Our first dance was to Anders' Die Pad. Next up was the father-daughter dance, which was a real tear-jerker, but just before you need to get the tissue, there was a mix of the Macarina, Gangnam Style and other oldies, that was so much fun for me and my father!
The rest of the night went by so quickly as we spent most of our time on the dance-floor! After the photographers left, the lights were turned off and glow-sticks were EVERYWHERE! This was so much fun!
At the end of the night, me and hubby climbed into the old Land Rover, and drove off to Monte Rosa Guest House, where the party continued with friends.
I would not change a single thing of our wedding day, and I know that for the rest of our lives, we can look back to that perfect day, and know that that was the start of our own Happily Ever After!
