19 December 2015, the day that will arguably go down as the best day of my life, and i owe it all to my lovely husband and wonderful family. I have the most amazing and supportive family ever. We literally had 6 months to plan the wedding (white and traditional), our families really came through for us. We all know how exhausting planning a wedding can be, and at first i thought i could handle it but quickly realized that i need professional help. That's when i sought the services of Meletlo Celebrations to run with the white wedding preps. Boy oh boy was that the best decision i made. She made my life a whole lot easier, came up with ideas i wouldn't have otherwise thought of, she was just God sent.
On the day everything ran smoothly and on time (yep Western time and not African time, lol), hell even the priest praised and thanked us for keeping time. We had a beautiful afternoon wedding, the weather really came to the party. The ceremony was held at the Bryanston Catholic Church, we had a string quartet who made sure our guests were welcomed with sweet melodies as they entered the church. The ceremony was 45 mins tops, which was very impressive. From Bryanston all roads led to Avianto in Muldersdrift for the reception. We had a comedian, Sifiso Nene, as the MC for the evening. He had the guests eating out of the palm of his hands. I really don't remember much about the day but my highlights were our entrance "step" at the reception (hubby had some other type of moves there), the MC, The live band, the two speeches by my father and of course my darling husband. The two speeches almost had guests in tears, i still get people raving about how eloquent my husband's speech was.
My husband and I both have two left feet so our families and friends were really looking forward to the first dance (They wanted to laugh at us more than anything). Little did they know that we actually had "first dance" lessons. Lord were they blown away by our moves and not forgetting the finale lift. They were never ready!!! The first dance lessons were our best kept secret (yey high five to us!).
After dinner was served it was time to Parrrrtttyyy!!!! The guests had an awesome party which ended at 02:00am. The DJ from Blast Entertainment really blasted the evening up. Hubby and I snuck out as soon as the party started...yep and that is as far as my story goes :)
