Isn’t it just every girl’s fairy tale dream to walk down the aisle to meet her God-leading prince charming and exchange their hearts on a beautiful, warm and sunny November day? And what a beautiful fairy tale story it was of two hearts coming together, becoming one.
Being a bit of a French Romantic, me and my prince were mesmerised by the French provincial ambiance of long green grassy pastures, full blooming lavender and tall evergreen shadowy trees. Our wedding was quite an idyllic and intimate function, with close family and relatives sharing in our big day. Lavandou Wedding Venue shared in our vision and went out of their way to make sure our dream day came to fulfilment and our wedding a memory that will last a lifetime and longer.
The ceremony was short and sweet, but still so deeply spoke into our hearts. The light breeze was filled with the Holy Spirit’s tenderness, happy tears and much laughter as we experienced this profound moment.
Intending to bring our own uniqueness into our wedding day, we decided to do things a little more different than the usual. We combined ideas and planned activities that are more “us”, as an example, our special entrance video at the reception, giving it that little extra Gene’ sais quoi. Everyone, including us had a ball of a time enjoying the surroundings, food, entertainment and each other’s company.
Knowing, that one’s special day passes by so quickly, both of us made every effort to take in every second, every speck of detail and constantly being mindful of the eventful majestic day. Thankful to everyone who assisted and accompanied to make our day as spectacular as it was, we could soak it all in.
As the unknown author states, “every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite.”
Entering the "Bride of the Year" competition, we are ecstatic to share our wedding day with SA Weddings. And what a better way, than to share the beautiful memories of our beautiful love story.
