ABOUT MY FAIRY TALE (that continues...)
That morning sunrise and baby blue skies. I woke up to what would be a day filled with love, laughter and life changes. Bags packed, hair complete, bride maids on board ... and off to Stellenbosch we went.
From Cultivar Guest Lodge,we were greeted with smiles of excitement, a crisp morning breeze and sparkling bubbly. The bridal party chatted about the years gone by, the funny couple moments shared, the tears rolled and the excitement peaked. Makeup complete, as natural, simple and gracious as I am. My mom, my superhero, my everything - assisted with slipping into my sleeveless heart shaped tulle wedding gown, with a touch off-white, a pull and a bow, and pretty flower crown.
The sacred ceremony ministered by my soon-to-be dad, heartfelt, teary and full of bliss. We departed the Catholic church not just as Mr. & Mrs. Philander - but has ONE.
Canapes, champagne, family photographs prevailed at the outdoor predrinks area. While the guests mingled, we slipped away for our photoshoot, away from the hustle and bustle, to a tranquil, beautiful scene, filled with hearts and stars (Or rather that's what it seemed to me).
Upstairs a white, crisp, crystal, hessian, woody feel with pops of bright colours complimented the beautifully, naked ceiling, draped with fairy lights and lanterns. The formalities were touching, wise words, unending advice, beautiful compliments, delicious foods and OUR FIRST DANCE - Truly by Lionel Ritchie.
We CELEBRATED ...
A day so perfect, a day so true, if I had the chance to do it all over again, I would, over and over again, and I wouldn't change a thing.
