The Day of my dreams finally was celebrated with my prince in January 2015.
It was absolutely wonderful but also awful, mainly because everything was over too quickly. ;-)
It took us over a year of planning. From the decorations, hand crafted save the date and invitations, to the guest lists and seating order, and not to mention who to invite and all that on a relative budget.
When finally our wedding day came, all the stress and the nerves were blown away on a summer's breeze, as everything fell into it's place. Champagne breakfast was followed with my bridesmaids and sisters, dressing into my most splendid and breathtaking Maggie Sottero Wedding Gown, which let me feel like the princess I always dreamed of being.
Despite a very warm Cape Wine-lands summers day, the Chapel service at Erinvale in Somerset West was festive and traditional, celebrating our vows before the lord, followed by a heartfelt garden canape and wine reception.
Our Photographer whisked us away to capture the magic around us, before our evening reception at Lourensford Wine Estate started. Having it catered by a top outside chef, the spectacular South African themed dinner for our mostly European guests paired with the Estate wines were very well received. The table and venue decoration took most of our breath away, giving it a stately flair providing a romantic candlelit ambiance.
I always new that my wedding had to include a lot of waltzing in keeping with our German heritage, which we did throughout the evening into the late night hours.
Once we have cut our beautiful and delicious wedding cake, everyone was dances out of energy and bidding us farewell to our honeymoon, which we embarked on two days later to Thailand.
This wonderful life dream of mine, truly flashed passed and how often I don't wish that I could re-experience all these special and cherished moments and details, family and friends.
