I was one lucky girl, I had two weddings! As we were planning our wedding (I believe wedding planning is an evolutionary process) we realized we didn't want our guests to travel between the church and venue. In the end we had the Catholic and legal service on the Friday 19 September.
It was a lovely service with our families involved in the ceremony. What was also special was that we were able to invite friends and colleagues to this service that we were unable to invite to the Saturday service.
The next day was the big one. We all got an early start to Chanteclere Hotel in Valley of 1000 Hills. The only stress we had was load shedding in which we lost time on the hair phase of getting ready. I was very lucky to walk down the aisle a second time on the arm of my most wonderful dad to my new husband! Although it was cold, it was a lovely day, with our friends and family. Photos were so much fun with our amazing photographer Chris Mc Cabe. For the boys we decided to do a superhero theme, take a look at Dennis punching the ground and the one with the green light in the background!
The only regret I have is that it is over now. The wedding planning and the weddings themselves were such special experiences with not only my husband but our two in a million families! It can be said that without them our wedding would only be a dream.
On the Wednesday Heritage day we had a trash the dress shoot with Chris. This was so much fun! I used the dress I wore on the Friday, though at the end it did not resemble what it was to start with! We threw 20 liters of liquid paint at it! Being an artist myself, this was right up my alley!
Entering this competition feels like more of the wedding excitement! Thank you for your votes, I hope this is another opportunity to wear my dress!
