Waking up on the morning of our wedding, I realized it was the first sunny day for the month of September 2014. It was so hot that we had to bring in extra fans! I was so calm, while I heard my husband-to-be was a nervous wreck. Surrounded by my amazing bridesmaids, mother and mother-in-law I had a lot of laughs and a lot of cries that morning. It was the most perfect day of my life! Everything ran according to plan and for the first time in history, the bride (me) arrived at the chapel on time. It was exactly 16:35 when I walked into the chapel and that is when tears sprang to my eyes…. I was about to marry my best friend, life companion, soul mate and love of my life!! Today I would become Mrs Natasha Hughes!
Once I saw my fiance’ with his tear streaked face, I couldn't wait to get to him… so I walked down that isle before everyone got a chance to stand up!
The service was beautifully done by our priest, with all our loved ones surrounding us. The priest forgot to say: “you may now kiss the bride” but my husband would not have that! He asked the priest whether he could please kiss his bride now… The rest of the night was one big party! We had so much fun, we didn't want to leave. We wanted to get married every day!
I now hold my husband’s hand every day and then I think of how it felt to hold his hand that day… that beautiful fairy-tale Wedding Day, and I will never forget how special each moment was for us!
