Luis and I have been friends for many years, and it was a beautiful night in Madrid, Spain where we decided to go for a walk on the Harbor and that was when the sparks flew. Fast forward to 2013, we were on a pilgrimage in the Holy Land, Israel. We were visiting the Catholic Church in Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle of changing the water into wine at the Wedding feast, I was watching the other married couples renew their wedding vows, when Luis took me by the hand and led me to the underground ruins of the original church, it was there that he told me the most beautiful things and got down on his knee, presented me with a Gorgeous custom designed engagement ring and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him! I fell to my knees with him, and of course said YES!!
Our Wedding was the best day of my life so far! As I reached the Altar, I couldn't hold back the tears. After months of planning and prepping, the day I get to marry the man of my dreams had finally had arrived. Our wedding was traditional, elegant and formal, guests all wore black tie and ball gowns. We skipped the usual wedding traditions of bouquet and garter toss and made our own traditions. I will never forget the way I felt on my wedding day, and I am so proud to be Mrs de Olim!!
