Our wedding took place on a mild Winter's day at the beautiful venue Ingaadi, in the East of Pretoria.
After the groom was led astray by his dubious SatNav and was almost late for the ceremony, the day went off without a hitch. From the weather to the garter, everything was perfect and we had the most amazing time.
We said 'I do' on a wooden deck over a small lake, with wildlife and about 80 guests looking on. My dress was Enzoani - a lace and tulle mermaid style with a full lace back. Our colour scheme was black and white and the theme had elements of black lace with pops of colour provided by the gerbera daisies that we chose as flowers.
My husband was the most handsome man I've ever laid eyes on, in a black suit, black shirt and white tie. I walked down the aisle to How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding, and I was not the only one in tears by the time I reached my groom. The pastor did a wonderful sermon with lovely words that were very personal to us and we chose to do a hand binding ceremony instead of the usual unity candle or sand.
It was truly a beautiful wedding and the best moment of all came when we were announced as husband and wife.
The reception was loads of fun, and I have never danced as much as I did that night! Dinner was a divine three course meal and the most gorgeous wedding cake I've ever tasted - dark chocolate and vanilla in black and white fondant and beautiful sugar flowers, we were almost sorry to cut it. Champagne flowed all night and the speeches didnt leave many dry eyes in the house. It was an intimate, emotional wedding, which made it even more special.
It truly was the best day of our lives and we have never been happier - we are so lucky to have found eachother, and we'll never let go.
