Our wedding was everything we wished for and more!! We wanted something simple; rustic; down to earth ; relaxed and just full of fun !!
We got engaged on the 14th December 2013 at Gatwick Airport !!!! It all happened as we arrived at Gatwick from SA, we were heading through to the arrivals after collecting our huge bags and me so exhausted, as I don't sleep on planes. To find my future Mother in-law; Brother in-law ; sister in-law ; niece & nephew holding up a sign (which my lovely sister in-law made on behalf of Bryan) , saying "Chantz will you marry me ?". Shoo wee I was totally caught off guard, and blown away. It was the best start to our 4 week adventure in the UK & Europe, and after waiting patiently for 6 years, I was so so so happy to finally be his fiance, and plan a wedding ;)
Back to our big day - Wow!! after 6 months of planning this big day, I was so excited for it all to happen. I wasn't too sure if we would be able to pull it off in 6months , but I'm so glad we did not wait till next year. Everything worked out, and all our guests had so much fun, which is just what we wanted. The weather was one of my big worries, as it was winter, but it turned out to be lovely, even with the freezing wind, which arrived after the ceremony. We had some lovely snacks ; cocktails ; mulled wine & a awesome band to keep our guest's busy - which they loved.
The venue was on a lovely rustic farm in the KZN midlands - Dargle valley. It is called Corrie Lynn farm. We fell in-love with this venue straight away!! We did not even go see any other venue's. It was just what we were after.
I honestly had so much fun on my wedding day, from getting ready with my special girls, walking down the aisle with my dad ; saying our very own vows to each other; dancing outside with our band ; all our speeches from friends & family ; our first dance / dancing with my dad to Mango groove (Special Star) and of course the Waka Waka dance - which I am famous for ;)
I thank all my family & friends once again for making our day so amazing!!!!
