Marchia Rampath (Gounden)

Marchia Rampath

Married on Mar 22, 2014

Our traditional wedding was held on the 22.03.2014 at the Umgeni Road Temple, where just our immediate family gathered to bear witness to our marriage ceremony. The conducting of our marriage ceremony at the Umgeni Temple contributed to the sacredness of our wedding vows. Our Wedding Reception was held at an elegant and sophisticated venue, the Imbizo conference Centre at the Sibaya Casino. This was our choice of venue, it enhanced our South African heritage, the ambience, lighting and warmth captured our attention. The decor was designed by Spot on Decor and Lighting. We chose the lotus flower set because of its symbolism. In a relationship, the lotus flower represents love, clarity of the heart, good luck, long life as well as honour and respect. The decor compromised of the lotus set,a star cloth, water features, white flooring, spot and intelligent lighting. Burgundy and cream flowers were beautifully arranged by Kogie’s florist. The venue was lit up with a display of pyrotechnics by Mystical Pyrotechnics, as well as brilliant gymnastics by Vuzu Entertainment. Despite our different religions, our families made our planning much simpler, and it was a happy and memorable time for both families. The memory of how proud and happy our parents were and being accepted by our new families will live in our hearts forever.
