Our wedding was all we imagined it would be AND SO MUCH MORE!!
Lyle and I met during our matric holiday and remained good friends all through varsity and the years to follow. It wasn’t until we attended friends of Lyle’s wedding in Franschoek (only as his date & friend) that the “spark” flourished into the best thing ever!!
A couple of years later Lyle surprised me with another weekend in Franschoek and a beautiful engagement ring!!!
I married my best friend on 29 March 2014 in the beautiful & quaint Free State town, Clarens. With breathtakingly stunning views and exceptional setting of St Fort Country House & farm, complimented with a great weather forecast, contributed to a weekend-wedding we and our guests would always remember and cherish – we had an absolute BLAST!
We wanted a UNIQUE & JOLLY FARM WEDDING-WEEKEND – All the décor was handmade (and being the control freak that I am; I wanted to do everything myself…):
The hundreds of origami paper-flowers, meters & meters of bunting, runners & serviettes, lots of homemade cookies, the wedding stationary, wooden under-plates, bouquets & corsages, bow ties…
Many late nights and hard work - Our beloved parents, family and so many of our friends lent a hand, an arm and a leg to make this possible and to bring all of our (sometimes crazy) ideas to life!
The professional management & staff of St Fort Country House (and the BEST food ever), made the weekend and wedding day special and they ensured that we could relax and have the best time of our lives!
Picture me&u captured this awesome day in their creative and gorgeous style, only they know how!
The most special thing that really made it all worthwhile is the fact that we were so blessed to have all our friends and family there and that we could share this special promise & memories with them!
