The Wedding Story.....
As every little girl dreams of her wedding day, a day of love and magic that will leave its imprint on her heart forever, my fairytale took place on the 23 March 2014. Its magnificence was beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I could have lived in that moment forever and never wished for anything more.....
The ceremony took place in the Imbizo Conference Centre at the Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom. As the venue name suggests, a venue fit for a King and Queen; exactly how we felt on our special day. A combination of brightly colorful roses, orchids and geberas flowers, hindu deity sculptures on stage, imported souvenirs from India and African art on the venue walls set the scene for a traditional Indian yet truly South African ceremony. Pre-recorded speeches prepared by the Bride and Groom and a personalized CD for guests were special touches that conveyed our message of love, joy and happiness to our esteemed guests, who had travelled from far and wide to share this momentous day with us.
The feeling of celebration in the air, the multitude of colorful traditional indian attire adorned by all, the attendance and well wishes of family, friends and colleagues and the lingering scent of scrumptious ‘wedding biryani’ are some of the many memories of that day that will be forever etched in my mind.
As the priest concluded the auspicious ceremony, and we were pronounced husband and wife, the words of John Legend’s All of Me played sweetly in the background – a song that captures the love that my husband and I share…… “Cause all of me, loves all of you; love your curves and all your edges; all your perfect imperfections. Give your all to me, I'll give my all to you. You're my end and my beginning, even when I lose I'm winning. Cause I give you all of me, and you give me all of you”.
The love of my life, my best friend and now husband.... has given me so much to be thankful for. I thank him for this special day and for all his hard work in realizing our dreams. They say dreams are only dreams until you wake up and make them a reality. My dream has become a reality because of him. I love him with all my heart and for all eternity.
I am grateful to friends and family who were instrumental in the planning of the function. A special tribute goes out to my parents, my guiding stars and my siblings, my pillars of strength, for all their support not just on my wedding day, but throughout my entire life.
A perfect day, a perfect couple, beautiful memories and a life of eternal bliss. Here’s looking forward to many many happy years to come … my hubby and myself ….. Always in Love …… Now and Forever.
And so ……… now that their true love was confirmed in marriage ……. they lived happily ever after.
The End …….
