My breathe taking wedding
An entire year my family, friends and I had been working hard making most of the décor ourselves. From candle lit, laced bird cages that decorated our candelabras, laced ribbons with sewed on hearts in the center to decorate the pews in the church ,to every tiny detail for our glorius day.
2014 I had hands masked in glue, but the closer the time came the more excited we all became. My wedding planner aka "mom" was seriously superwoman without a cape. She did it all, she helped make Gerrit and my day spectacular.
The thing is that all the blood sweat and tears could have never prepared me for the big day!! The day where my dress was laced up so tight that I could barely breath ,walking down the aisle and when I nearly passed out having those beautiful pictures taken on the steps. We could have never been prepared for my ten year old little sister to throw up all over her beautiful flower girl dress I designed, as she left the house to go to the church.
With a combination of stress and lack of oxygen I stood outside the church crying as my makeup was running down my face. "THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING" was all I could think of.
Nothing could have ruined the moment I walked down the aisle to my prince, the moment I laid my tearful eyes on him was the moment all the stress floated away. His vowels were so beautiful and the ring he put on my finger took my breath away. All I wanted to do was kiss him and hold him. My little sister serenaded us with new lyrics to Halleluja. " We join together here today to send two people on their way as Shani and Gerrit starts their lives together..." she sang. It was so beautiful, a moment in history that can never be bought.
"I am your soldier of love, I will fight for you, I will be loyal to you, I will adore you all the days of your life, I will hug you everyday, kiss you always, I will love you every moment I will love you in heaven" I vowed from the bottom of my heart.
The day was full of cosmopolitans by the beach for the guests, a photo booth for lots of fun, a jumping castle and swimming pool for the kids and the list just goes on.
The food was great and there is nothing better than spending the most special day with family and friends, people who love and support us. Each one of our guests have walked a path with us and we appreciate all the support we received during this time in our lives.
He say dream a little of dream of me to me and from there we were dancing the night away and we will always be dancing for joy in our marriage and even in Heaven.
