Shaneez Elayi (Baksh)

Shaneez Elayi

Married on Dec 20, 2014

Growing up as a kid all I ever wanted was to be a bride. together with my cousin who is the same age as I am, we discussed how we wanted things done and what we really liked and wanted.

The day the date of my wedding was set I immediately started planning my dream fairy tale wedding. My colours consisted of teal blue, coral and white. I settled on these colours as my wedding was a summer wedding and they were bright colours, to show the start of a bright future with my soon to be husband.

I then had the pleasure to meet The Wedding Planner (Phillip Theophiles) who made my special day so complete and perfect for me.

Being into my faith I had a traditional Muslim wedding. I requested round tables to be set with silver tiffany chairs and white tree's with crystals draped on them as my centre pieces.

The Hall was draped in full white with intelligent lighting turning the room colour to blue. A 7 course meal was enjoyed by our guests.

The most exciting moment of my special day was walking down the aisle to " From this Moment" by Shania Twain. My uncle being the MC had the guest clapping and whistling, made me feel extra special, actually famous.

My cake was a creation of my own, which was made by a family friend for me, 2 layers being carrot and the bottom fruit.

Righteous photography captured my perfect moment with my friends and family. The pictures were stunning. I am glad to know I can look back at my special day and remember everything about it and the important people that shared this awesome day with me.

I had a blast planning my wedding and want to thank everyone who was part of my Happily Ever After.
