Elizabeth Stadler

Married on Dec 20, 2014 in Garden Route

On 20th December 2014 I met my husband at our self-made altar in Jubilee Creek to make a beautiful, lifelong promise to him and to become his partner in life.
Best friends tied the knot and had our closest loved ones there to celebrate with us and witness us becoming one before the Lord, our Father.

A special testimony has come from our wedding day.
We were already in our Mr & Mrs seats at our reception when my dad came to us and asked whether we saw the Fish Eagle circling above the ceremony site while the ceremony message was being delivered. My husband was speechless and in awe; then he tells us how he prayed on his way to our wedding, specifically asking God to 'be with us and hover over us when we go into covenant with each other'. That Fish Eagle hovering over the ceremony was a great big message from God confirming once again his blessing on our lives becoming one - this was truly the biggest highlight from our wedding... something we will forever cherish and remember.

Our ceremony was held at Jubilee Creek, Rheenendal - a carefully scouted location to give us the forest atmosphere we sought after for our special day. Tal built the wedding gazebo for us and Michelle from Flowers on Queen decorated it with greenery, white lithiansis and gyp.
Mamma Zanetta and myself made the natural coloured bunting and other items were hired from Confeti.

Our reception venue was the amazing Tottie's Farm Kitchen - a venue that barely needs any decorating, being just perfect as is.
We continued with the forest theme using only greenery with the odd Lisianthus and Carnation and added touches of old, silver and wood to create and add to the venue's rustic atmosphere that we fell in love with.

Our red, white and sparkling wine were chosen in memory of where we met and called home before relocating to Knysna. Polkadraai Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay from Stellenbosch Winelands (I used to call this home) and Fairview's La Capra Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon from Paarl (my husband's hometown).

Mostly everything was handmade by family and friends and we are most happy with the personal stamp that was visible all around our wedding

Our dream and vision became reality and we are so very blessed to have had such a 'perfect' day to celebrate us becoming one!
