On the 15th of November I married my soul mate and best friend. Set in the most magical setting on the lower south coast.
Our day was absolutely perfect.
My husband and I have been dating for nearly seven years. On our six year anniversary, last new years eve, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.
From that day on I was constantly on the go, preparing and hand crafting what ever I could. From decor to gifts.
With our wedding being in November and an outside wedding, I was constantly checking the long term weather forcast. With rain and gale force winds predicted I silently freeked out, hoping and praying we would not have to use our back up plan. For the last few years we had slowly made the waterfall on my father's farm, into the exact vision I had always dreamt of. The reception was held in a marquee at The Pont Holiday Resort with the river being only metres away.
But somehow, as towns not even 20 minutes away were having servere thunder storms, as I walked down the aisle the sun shown and wind vanished. It was amazing how it all worked out.
The party to follow was filled with fun and laughter. I found myself often trying to sit back and take it all in.
Of course there were the few hicups, but only we new about them and to all the future brides the best advise I got was to not stress about the little things. Only you know about them , your guests have no idea that something might not be exactly how you wanted it. I would not change a single thing about my wedding.
It was truly the best day of our lives!
