Janine Louw (Lourens)

Janine Louw

Married on Nov 29, 2014 in Western Cape

We are both "Nature lovers" and we knew that our big day will be celebrated under large trees. Together we decided on an incredible forest on a farm just outside of Caledon. There was nothing on the grounds except large oak trees, but we knew we wanted to get married here. After many hours of sweat, back pain and blisters we changed the forest into our fairytale dream venue.
We prayed every day for good weather because we didn’t want to think of a plan B, and on our wedding day, the Lord blessed us with beautiful weather, not a leaf moved, the only thing that moved were feet on the dance floor. To really believe is much stronger than anyone ever imagined.
I could write a book about how amazing our day was. I know so many people would say that their wedding day was everything they could have dreamt of, but I must confess our dreams were exceeded in every way. The forest was transformed into an indescribable wedding venue. Long rough wooden tables covered with white and green floral arrangements, big crystal chandeliers hung from the trees and lounge pockets were created for everyone’s convenience. The food was delicious. We started with a "high tea” as canapé’s where we cut the cake. There were food stalls for a starter and for main we had buffet to the tables. Lights started to become alive when dusk fell and the forest was filled with music and people dancing around, laughing and talking.
My husband and I enjoyed it so much, and couldn’t wipe the smiles from our faces. We had such a great time with the people we love and wished that we could do it again and again, but rather decided to make the wonderful location a permanent fairy forest for future brides and grooms who wish to experience the love and fun we had on our wedding day.
