When David and I started planning our wedding all we wanted was for everything to be perfect! perfect! perfect!
We got engaged on 17 February 2014 and specially had a fairly long engagement so we could get married outside in the beautiful kirstenbosch gardens during the November summer.
I was VERY fussy and needed this to be like this and that to be like that!
Friends and family were giving me all sorts of recommendations and we're trying to help us plan for our big day...but I was kind of in my own world about how I wanted our wedding to be. All my "big" "crazy" ideas came to an end when my 'bubble was popped" and I realized all I REAllY want to do was get married to the love of my life, David.
I'm really glad my bubble was popped, as I couldn't have asked for a better day!! Everything about it was just magical! I sometimes daydream and wish I could turn back time and re live our wedding day all over again.
Our wedding day FINALLY arrived and guess what...It was a rainy winters day. I remember the phone call from my father-in-law telling me he's very sorry but we have to move our ceremony indoors... I was distraught! I handed the phone over to my mom and just sat on the couch. One of my very special bridesmaids came over to me a said "who cares where you get married or how you get married... YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED... TO DAVID!!!" And just like that I phone my father -in -law and I said "I don't care where we have our ceremony as long as I get to marry David!"
I must admit, I've never seen a more beautiful looking ceremonial hall than ours! It was PERFECT!
