"Wedding in the City"
We planned our wedding to be in Jo'burg City, we loved everything about the idea - Jo'burg City skyline, City lights and Industrial modern architecture. My husband Carlos inspired the theme of our wedding, with his amazing idea's & background of industrial design. We shared this journey together - as we planned our "Wedding in the city". We found the most perfect wedding venue in New town called "Turbine hall". Our venue took our breaths away, it was perfect, we chose the Basement underground venue which consisted of massive turbine concrete columns, exposed steal structures and just complete Urban beauty. We took our theme "Wedding in the city" throughout the planning of our special day. We started with an Engagement shoot in Mabobeng on the rooftop of 12 decades hotel, our photographer shot us with jo'burg city skyline in the background - this was such an incredible experience and was so much fun. We then did our save the dates on red heart balloons which advertised our "hashtag" for our wedding #CAWEDDINGINTHECITY. Pinterest then became my best friend! It helped me find amazing idea's of urban chic decor, flowers, raw globe chandeliers, our wedding invitation, bridesmaid dress designs, day planners, hair, make-up - just everything! We finally decided on our colour "Grey"... Bridesmaids in grey tulle sweetheart dresses & Groomsman in smart grey tailored suites. Our most important decor and lighting for our venue was Bespoke raw globe chandeliers to hang over our guest tables. Complimented with white flowers and raw wood as our center pieces. Our special day finally arrived 22 November 2014 I married the love of my life. We decided to do our couple shoot & entourage photo's at the old train station, which overlooked Nelson Mandela bridge and of course we got some shots at a graffiti wall. This was all we ever dreamed of. We are so grateful for our parents blessings & their kindness of giving us our dream wedding, we will always be so thankful. We were so blessed to have all our favourite people there to witness our marriage. We won't change a thing! XOXO
PS. Thank you to our Photographer Christopher Munton for capturing all our special moments & Thank you to our Videographer Mighty Fine Productions for our amazing video!
