Our story began 8 years ago when we were both in the Eastern Cape Youth Choir. We dated for about 7 months and our paths seperated. After 6 years and a lot of searching my husband, Delyn, got hold of my contact number, we went on a coffee date and never looked back since.
After dating for 7 months, Delyn proposed on Christmas Day on 25 December 2012 anda year after that we got married on 27 December 2013.
Our theme was "The Tale of the Two Lovebirds" and was vintage inspired.
All our vendors provided excellent service and gave us the wedding we have always dreamt of.
It could not have been more perfect.
We decided to write our own vows and tried to keep the wedding very personal, romantic and a true reflection of us as a couple and our love for each other.
We got married at La Cigale Country Estate in their little chapel and had the reception at the same venue as well.
Because Delyn has a Scottish heritage, we decided to incorporate some of the traditions into our wedding. My garter was made out of lace and the Price Family Tartan. We also did the hand fastening tradition with a piece of tartan material and then of course.... Delyn wore a kilt.
Our photgrapher, Richard Oosthuizen, from Rich Photogtaphy did a fantastic job in capturing all the special moments we had.
Without the support of our parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen our day would never have turned out to be so spectacular.
It truly was the best day of our lives.
