Chantelle Bee Wedding & Evening Gowns
A romanticist by nature, with an acute attention to detail and perfection, using delicate embellishments and romantic aesthetics, Chantelle delivers feminine and dreamy couture for brides, bride’s maids, flower girls and gala events.
After walking a varied and successful road in the fashion industry, it has led me to pursue my lifelong dream of creating couture bridal and evening wear.
Sun Sugar was my first entrepreneurial label under which I successfully supplied boutiques, with a vast range of clothing items, all over South Africa.
In 2005 I was handpicked out of many aspiring designers to become a designer at Young Designers Emporium, I designed exclusively under my own label for the next 7 years at YDE, successfully supplying 14 stores country wide.
I really enjoy the art of patternmaking and construction and consider this to be one of my strongest attributes. Through my career I worked as freelance patternmaker for various designers and companies.
After YDE our young family immigrated to Nigeria in 2013 which led me to my African label. I could not stay away from the vibrant markets selling colourful and interesting fabrics. My inner creative genie was inspired and I soon designed and sold African inspired day and evening wear with avant-garde designs. I still pursue this Afro chic culture on demand.
‘Recently moving back to the Western Cape, I decided to make a reality of my dream, by putting all my experience, expertise and passion into finally creating bespoke and dreamy couture gowns with a timeless elegance.'
I pride myself in achieving faultless, unique and even fun garments by taking into consideration the suitability of the design for your figure, your personality and your personal style.
Nothing can ever take away from an experienced designer to advise clients, ensuring the perfect result.
Working with delicate laces, silks and luxurious fabrics is really a love affair for me when creating gowns .
I do a free consultation, where we discuss the style, fabric and the 'feel' of the dress.
From there I present a design, fabric options and a quote for the labour as well as an estimate of fabric costs.
Fittings are done regularly to monitor each step of the process and allow adjustments to be made where required.
The journey together will be professional but fun to make your special occasion magic from the day you start planning!
