3 Cocktails for Summer Weddings

EASY COCKTAIL RECIPES

‘Tis the season for summer celebrations and whether your nuptials are happening inside or outside, a wedding cocktail is the ultimate must-have personal touch you should have at your wedding celebration. Not only will it keep your guests refreshed during cocktail hour, but it serves as a wonderful introduction to your reception. When you and your official spouse are off taking post ceremony wedding photographs, you can be rest assured that your guests are mingling amongst friends and family enjoying your delicious signature wedding drinks. We caught up with Shona from Food Fanatics on her must have cocktails to serve at your summer wedding celebration.


LEMON THYME BURB 

Not only is this wedding cocktail as pretty as a picture but it tastes as good as it looks. Lemon thyme syrup and hints of freshly grated ginger create an explosion of flavour that simply quenches the thirst.

Ingredients

  • 1 tot ‘Good’ whisky for example Jameson.
  • 1 tot Lemon thyme syrup infused with freshly grated ginger and splash of Soda water
  • 1⁄2 tot fresh lemon juice
  • Garnish with:
  • Fresh Sprig of thyme
  • Dehydrated citrus of your choice

BURGUNDY AROMATA

Filled with aromatic spices, this stylish summer time cocktail tastes heavenly. With its bold flavour and perfect orange hue, this cocktail receives a ten out of ten in our books!

Ingredients

  • 1 tot Inverroche Amber Gin.
  • 200ml classic tonic.
  • Garnish with:
  • Dehydrated orange, a cinnamon stick and black peppercorns.

PALOMA

If the colour does not get you, then the taste will. The Paloma is the perfect addition to your wedding bar. This delicious and flavour packed welcome drink will not only introduce your reception in the most stylish way, but is the ideal welcome drink to celebrate your new nuptials. 

  • 1 tot Tequila
  • 1⁄2 tot fresh lime
  • 1 tot fresh grapefruit juice and splash of soda water
  • Salt rim of glass (optional)
  • Garnish with:
  • Dehydrated grapefruit
