Of all the Estates, farms and manor houses owned by Cecil John Rhodes at the height of his power, Nooitgedacht was the one he selected as his own private residence. And when you visit the Estate, it’s easy to understand why.
On the day of your wedding, you and your party will have exclusive use of the estate – including the grandiose bridal suite in the manor house and three meticulously decorated and serviced guest suites situated in the farm’s historic slave quarters (if required). And you certainly won’t have to fit into anyone else’s schedules, plans, menus or spaces.
As a flexible, hands-on, family-run, estate, Nooitgedacht is in the unique position to offer and facilitate an amazing array of customised wedding plans and requests.
Far from the commercial, cookie-cutter wedding venues that try make all your wishes and dreams dovetail into their tight schedule and rule book; the Wirths and their team will always go out of their way to make your day, and your stay, as perfect, as personal, and as meaningful as can be.
Vows may be exchanged in either the charismatic and inspirational faunum (chapel) attached to the main cellar (banquet hall), or on the grounds of the vast Estate. Outside the faunum is a charming garden where guests may refresh themselves after the ceremony, while the family goes off for photo sessions.
A refreshing take on wedding menus draw on global inspiration, hand me down secrets, and the freshest, choicest local ingredients.
