Makinky Manzi means something different at the water. This extraordinary beautiful game farm is nestled in the heart of the magical Africa bush, North West Province of South Africa. Our guests not only come from all over South Africa, but also the world as 40 km from Sun City and 50 km from Rustenburg, with a lovely view to where the Magaliesberg Mountains end and the Pilanesberg Mountains start.
Brides have a choice of hosting their wedding ceremony at the cascading natural waterfall, or become one with nature right in the middle of the lush green African bush. We also have two wedding reception venues to choose from:
1. The Thabile hall ''Place of Happiness'' seats up to 150 guests. Built with a mixture of stone and bricks, this venue has an antique castle look with wide open wooden windows overlooking the mountains or full moon and sparkling stars. In the hall offers two large fire places for winter weddings, as well as a fireplace in the boma next to Thabile for late night / early morning mingling, while the roaring of Lions fill the night air. The farm pool with striking water features offers in-pool seating for midnight dips after hours of dancing.
2. The Naledi hall ''The Star'' seats up to 48 guests. This intimate hall, with the RondomLekKerR boma next to Naledi for a bonfire, became very popular for small weddings. The Naledi has a rustic farm atmosphere with a large open dance floor under the stars.
Brides-to-be can incorporate any colour scheme or wedding theme – it is our forte to work with our couples and create the look they envision. Couples also have the opportunity to celebrate with loved-ones all night long as the farm does not have a curfew or sound restrictions.
Corlia, the owner, decided eight years ago to let her dreams become a reality. With compassion, zeal and long hours filled with very hard work, she finally completed her dreams and love to share her holy land with all.
Here at Makinky Manzi there is only one downfall - once you've experienced our hospitality, cuisine and bush atmosphere, you never want to leave!
