Our specialist Wedding Co-ordinator, together with our expert team at The Lodge will cater to your every need and guide you through every detail of your special day. From entertainment and photography, to flowers, menus and table décor.

Venues

• Makana, with stone walls enclosing an elegant lounge and twin fireplaces overlooking sweeping lawns and the Boontjies River, is the ideal venue for larger receptions. Capacity: Maximum seating for 60 guests

• Kadoro, an intimate, candlelit venue in a secluded location in the Reserve, approximately 20 minutes from The Lodge, is ideal for smaller wedding ceremonies and receptions.
  Capacity: Maximum seating for 16 guests

• Embers is a magical outdoor setting, built into a natural ancient sandstone amphitheatre of giant boulders; overlooking dramatic cliffs and valleys, it is located a short drive away from The Lodge.
  Capacity: Maximum seating for 60 guests  

• Manor House Deck and Lawns, under the ancient gigantic Fig Tree with glorious views of the river and perfectly manicured lawns, is the perfect location for outdoor ceremonies and pre-reception drinks.
  Capacity: Maximum deck seating for 40 guests and lawn seating for 60 guests

• The all-weather Homestead Restaurant and Terrace is the heart of The Lodge with 2 lounges, a bar and wine cellar and is suitable for fine dining.
  Capacity: Maximum 32 guests seated

• Pre-reception drinks can be taken at The Homestead Bar or around the fire at the River Boma for after-dinner drinks.

• The Wedding Gazebo, available for all outdoor ceremonies at The Lodge or in the Reserve, is included in the wedding package and can be dressed to suit each particular occasion, colour scheme and style.

• Throughout The Lodge and Reserve, picture-perfect settings create idyllic backdrops for capturing each and every moment of your special day.
  
  All outside venues are subject to weather conditions and alternative venues will be arranged in the case of unsuitable weather.

• Accommodation for the bridal couple on the night of the wedding – a host of special extras is offered to the wedding couple – a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on arrival; monogramed bath towels, rose petal turn-down and a bottle of Bouchard Finlayson with a personalised wedding label.

Accommodation

Wedding bookings at Bushmans Kloof must include accommodation for guests and the bridal couple and cannot be hired as a wedding venue only. The Lodge can accommodate up to 38 guests, however there are a few guest houses and B&B’s in the area for overflow of guests.

Additional Services

Over the years, we have built up an extensive network of suppliers and service providers. The Wedding Co-ordinator is on hand to offer recommendations and a co-ordination service, prior to and on the day of the wedding.

Services include: Floral arrangements, printing of seating plans, menu cards and name cards, wedding cakes, photographers and videographers, a marriage officer (if required), live entertainment, transfers, hair and make-up.
