The Gingerbread House Bakery is a new artisan bakery in Johannesburg. The owner and pastry chef, Natalie Rousseau, is dedicated to baking and presenting the most delicious and exciting of sweet treats. From French Macarons made the traditional way, to cakes so decadent even the thought will make your mouth water.
Natalie Rousseau, the owner, is a self taught pastry chef and artisan sweet designer, best known for her perfect macarons. A new player to the game, she currently works from home, trading online and at local farmers markets in and around Johannesburg. Working along side her husband, they team up to design and create delicious cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats.
Their mission is to provide Johannesburg and surrounds with delicious and beautiful sweet treats for any occasion, baking fresh for each event and order, using only the best ingredients. Our signature delicacy, the macaron, is handmade by the owner herself, from the freshest egg whites and only the best almond flour. There are over 40 flavours to choose from, perfect for any wedding, birthday or special/corporate event.
We also specialise in beautiful wedding candy tables/buffets. More modern than a wedding cake, a sweet display is much more fun, as you can incorporate all your favourites onto one table, and serve it like a delicious dessert platter. Our gourmet buttercream cakes are also a popular choice with our brides, opting to something different to the regular fondant cakes.
