The highlight of our special day was how all our favourite people came together to help us pull off the most perfect day.
We are going to Vietnam in December :)
We got married in the beautiful area of Summerveld, KZN where we both live and work. We had the opportunity to share our piece of paradise with all our loved ones.
I was spoilt with a spa day from my mom where I had a facial, waxing, manicure, pedicure and nails done.
To try save costs and to give a personal touch to our special day we made our own deco. We went for the rustic country look with an elegant touch. Our guest tables had a replica of my own bouquet in vases that included a protea, gyp and pennygum. We rent a stretch tent to extend off the hall where we had our dance floor and bar. We made our own string lights and used lots of candles.
The groom wore beige chinos, light blue shirt and blue jacket with brown belt and shoes. Groomsmen wore the same however they did not wear a jacket.
My beautiful bridesmaids wore long grey skirts with their chosen white shirt with bottle green pumps.
Anthony Jacobs was our marriage officer. He was great! He made my husband and I so calm and made the ceremony very quick and was highly entertaining with a very sweet message for us.
No we planned it ourselves.
My mom catered for the wedding. We had delicious canapés for starters and gourmet burgers for dinner finished off with an icecream parlour.

Planning your own wedding is great fun but can be stressful and very time consuming. Dance lessons were on the cards but we ran out of time and ended up winging it. We had an amazing live guitarist Gareth Purchase who played during canapés and a very accommodating DJ Rakesh Dhaniram who kept the dance floor busy from 5pm-2am.
