Magical Moments

The best part of our wedding was that the people that where the closest to us had a special part in our wedding - making something by their loving hands. I will never forget my dad's face with the reveal, nor my husband's coming down the isle. We had such a fun night with friends and family.

The Honeymoon

We went to Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape.

My Special Day

We went for a country/vintage themed wedding, and this theme was evident in all elements.
My wedding dress was a vintage empire cut with lace on the bodice and at the rim of the dress. A chocolate brown lint was fastened around my middle, tied in a bow at the back and hanged the lenght of my dress. I had straps added from left-over material of my mother-in-law's wedding dress (a special addition).
My hair is quite long, so I has a weave on the one side with half of the hair pinned up. The locks were softly curled.
For the photoshoot I wore cowboy boots, you must see the pictures (wink wink)!

The Venue

We got married at Diamond X Ranch in Rayton, PTA. There were rooms on the premises and half of our guests could stay the night.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I didn't do much of the health and beauty leading up to the wedding except for 2 days before when my bridesmaid and I went for massages, pedi and manicures...bliss!

Wedding Elements

Our main colours were earthy browns, burnt orange and beige. We used burlap and lace in many of our decor items (all of which were hand-made!). Main flowers were proteas and brick roses, combined with country decor pieces and a touch of vintage.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Groom and bestman both wore a bright blue denim with white shirt, checked waistecoast and brown jackets - groom being dark chocolate brown and best man's jacket colour being beige. To incorporate the country theme, they also had crocodile skin belts with cowboy buckles, bolo ties and "vellies".

Beautiful Bridesmaids

Bridesmaid had a beige coloured soft A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice was covered with lace and extended over the neckline of the dress and included the sleeves. She wore a chocolate brown lint over her middle with a bow at the back and hanging the lenght of the dress.
