How did your love story begin?

I told myself to never date my brother's friends for a lot of reasons.

On June 7th 2013 it was my suster in law's birthday and I went by their house to give her a present, when my brother said I should stay for the party... (I am the snuggle on the couch while reading a book type of woman) and I thought oh well... I am here already, I might as well stay (in my work attire). Never the less I didn't know my life would change after that night... Jip! Never say never. I met a friend of my brother that night and knew from the begining this is a sincere guy.
We just clicked right away.

He likes playing online games at home rather than go out to parties, but this time he went to the birthday party and we have met.

I am so glad we didn't stay at home that night.
In each other we found the missing puzzle pieces in our lives.

I know there's nothing perfect in life, but the way we fit together comes pretty close to perfect.

Tell us all about the proposal.

It was a long weekend and we went camping in Ceres. My husband wanted to ask me the big question on our way back to Vredenburg, but unfortunately we had to give someone a lift back. Luckily he wasn't discouraged yet...

When we arrived home, the fridge was empy and the shops closed. He called a restaurant in Paternoster to make a reservations, but unfortionaltly they didn't do bookings and my husband only believes in making reservations before hand.
He wanted to ask me on Patetnoster beach after the dinner. (I think) And yet he's still not discouraged...

We went to Langebaan and stopped at the Breeze restuatant. We went in and there was only an older couple and us in the restuatant. We went to sit at the open stackdoor. My husband went to go sit on my right hand side. We ate our delicious main dish and then he went to the mensroom for a whole while. (He wanted to get his ducks in a row before the big question) when he came back he came to sit on my left hand side. I thought he wanted a better view, because it started to rain and there was quite bit of thunder around. (The weather was so nice and hot)
I was talking about random things when he suddenly said stop talking about (whatever I was talking about) he started to get serious and stood up reach to his pocket and went down on his knees. (I wish I knew what he said!! That moment was just to overwhelming) I said: "No... you're not serious!!" Out of disbelieve of whats happening. He took out the ring box held it out, but oops... it was upside down hahaha.
The moment I said yes and the ring was on my finger, he urgently went back to his seat. (Shame, must have been the nerves)
He forgot to think about shampagne but luckely the staff brought us shampagne as a 'congratulations' gift.

Our dessert came and I was to overwhelmed to eat...Everyone that knows me know that I would never skip on dessert.

Magical Moments

For me
The higlights of our wedding was when I walked down the isle and my husband had tears in his eyes. He kept his eyes on me the whole time.

The officiant's message was so beautiful and also that moment when he said we are husband and wife

My Husbands beautiful speech

The beautiful speeches my father and my sister gave. It had me in tears.

Our first dance

For my husband:
When his bride walked down the isle

When we exchanged rings and when he could finally kiss me after waiting so long.
