Seeing everything come together and watching our families and friends merge as one big happy family should. Most memorable moment was our first dance as Husband and wife and my Husbands amazing speech he made unto me.
Yes we kept it Local and booked into a lodge in Kommetjie, then we decided to be tourists amongst our fellow Capetonians. we embarked on a Cape Point journey followed by a scenic drive all along the coast with stops along the way. We sat down in a restaurant for just over 5 hours enjoying each others company along with a 3course full on drinks meal. Because we are parents, we couldn't wait to get back to our babies and to date we are still enjoying our honeymoon.
my idea for my wedding was Modern with a touch of Vintage. I relayed this message unto my décor & catering companies as well as my dress maker and I am Pleased to say my dream became a full on reality. My make up was full on Glam with just the right amount of make up not overdoing my day to day features. My wedding dress was lace with nude arms ball gown styled out with a long veil and a diamante waist belt. my shoes was heels with gold diamante shimmer as I like the Glitzy things in life. Jewellery was very Glitzy not overdoing anything and to crown it all I had a beautiful crown to lavish the queen I am.
I got Married in church as the blessings of our dear Lord is important to us. Our reception followed immediately after that at Parow Golf Club where we were able to take photographers on the lawn and on the golf course.
Just remain Calm and collected. God's got this! and to love my spouse to be regardless of any stress and unpleasantness before our big day. I never dieted nor punished myself as I agreed he loves me for who I am as I am and I wanted him marrying the same woman he walked with every other day.
Décor - Modern with a touch of vintage, that was my effect throughout.
Flowers I asked specifically for Lily's and roses, the flower company delivered a Protea for some reason and then and there I knew this is my wedding with a difference and I had my flower lady incorporate it into my bridal bouquet. to date people are still talking about the difference.
They had on Gold tinted suits with patterned Gold waistcoats. Hired at Mr Suit Hire.
My bridesmaids had on a deeper shade of coral made into Hi-Low styled dresses with Gold shimmered shoes and gold accessories with a gold diamante waist belt. My Grandmother at 70 made all my bridesmaids dresses.

Wedding cake was made by a lovely lady in Wynberg named Gillian. Our food was made my Parow Golf Club itself.

We had a DJ, the Party was a real "Party". we had a smoke machine with lights and our guests danced till into the morning.
