Magical Moments

The highlight of my day was having my husband STANDING next to me...being able to look him straight in the eye whilst getting married was absolutely breathe taking. Memorable moments would be my eldest brother driving my Father and I to the wedding venue in the old VW Beatle, my father giving me away, my younger brother giving a toast of honor to my parents and having our families that are so widely spread across South Africa together for the first time in a while.

The Honeymoon

We went away for a week,we basically climbed in the bakkie and started driving. When it got to evening time we just stayed where ever we landed up...I've always wanted to go on a cruise ship, so my husband climbed in the bakkie and said:"Unfortunately we won't be able to go on the ships now, we will have to do it early next year." So we are still planning on our 'real' honeymoon, and we are very excited.
I enjoyed our little honeymoon, it was great just us two driving and nothing bothering us. I loved every minute with him!!!

My Special Day

My wedding look was very simplistic, with a touch of class and a lot of comfort!!! My hair was a high bun, loose with a plat to finish the look. Make-up was done by my cousin, easy and not too much! I literally bought my shoes at a chinese shop, they were a beautiful silver shimmer, semi-platform and at a very comfortable height. I had my cowboy boots as the "back-up" for comfort. For jewelry I bought pearl earrings at Miladys, with my mothers sapphire ring that she inherited from her grandmother, with a pearl bracelet from my mother in law and lastly I wore a bracelet made of my late horses tail. I bought pretty nighties at 'Edgars' and at 'Naughty but Nice' in Port Elizabeth.

The Venue

We got married on a farm, one of my husbands friends farm. 5km from Jeffreys Bay and 7km from Humansdorp on the old road. We transformed their working barn into the reception area and dance floor. Wedding ceremony was held just on the grass under a marques tent. All the guests sat in circle formation during the church ceremony, with us standing in the middle. We just gave all our guests a URL link to choose their own accommodation; https://www.lekkeslaap.co.za/ &

Wedding Elements

Our wedding look was very rustic and artsy. Nothing was planned to work together, white and brown chairs with rustic sleeper wood tables.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I got my girls 'Name' bracelets from Cardies and bronze (bling) alicebands from Clicks.
