Magical Moments

Aaah where do I start. We had such a beautiful wedding day, and there is so many memorable moments of our special day. I can name a few. Before our ceremony started we met each other around a corner without seeing each other to pray over our Marriage. It was such a special moment that just thinking about it gives me goosebumps all over my body and brings lots of emotions over me (good ones though)
Second Highlight of our day was that I arrived with a speedboat, even though it was very windy that day I would not change a thing about it! The entrance was made Because no one knew that I was going to arrive with a boat.
Then our cake stand, it is a special part of our wedding because my husband got it in the Knysna fire Disaster, we wanted to bring some of the disaster in our wedding. So he went and looked for the perfect tree stump and that night it went up for auction. Then our first dance. With lots of sparkles and so much love on the Dance floor!!

The Honeymoon

Yes, we went a month after our wedding on honeymoon.
I had no idea where we’re going or what we are doing but everything was so romantic and a huge surprise.
We didn't go to one place, the whole idea of the honeymoon was to see all the provinces and not booking accommodation (certain things was booked, but top secret) except for western Cape because we live in the western cape.
Our first day we went to a small town called Orania. From Orania we travelled to Kimberly, where we stayed in the Protea Hotel. From there we travelled to the Magaliesberg where we would go the next day on a hot air balloon ride, due to terrible weather conditions it was canceled and we had to stay another night. But we did our Hot air Balloon ride the following day.
The next day we travelled to Graskop, we stayed over for one night where I found out the next day after getting myself ready for our next venture we are going to The Kruger National Park. Where we stayed for 4nights!! Oh that was amazing.
After leaving Kruger we travelled for the day Through Swaziland where we were of to Durban for 2 days. This is where we got engaged that is why Durban is so special to us. I didn’t know what the plans was but after 2 days spent in Durban my husband made my dreams come true by taking me on the MSC Cruise Ship

My Special Day

I wanted to go for a modern Classic look. My hair was a upstyle modern look. Make up I wanted to go for a Natural look but also classy. My wedding dress I bought from a lady in Knysna but I made some changes on the dress. It is a mermaid style with a lase back and lots of details in the front. My shoes my husband chose for me. White high heel.
My Lingerie was a gift at my Bachelorette from my Bridesmaids. A white lace see through matching bra en panty☺️
My Jewelry was plain and simple, I wore my matching earrings and necklace that my husband (then Boyfriend) for our 2nd year anniversary. It was also my something blue and indeed very special, I had a classic hair piece that i rented and my armband was my wedding gift from my husband

The Venue

We got Married in Sedgefield at Pine Lake Marina Holiday Resort. Our Guests stayed over at the resort.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I didn’t really follow a specific beauty routine. But we made sure that we were eating healthy and exercise on a regular basis. We shed the unnecessary extra weight. Because we both wanted to look and feel good on our wedding day!
A day before our wedding myself, my bridesmaids and my mom and mom in law went for massages at a spa in knysna. I did not drink anything because I didn’t want to feel dehydrated the next day of my wedding nor bloated.
Nothing special and I take good care of my skin by drinking lots of water. I used the Nu Skin Whitening toothpaste AP24 before my wedding. It helped

Wedding Elements

My Flower bouquet was from Botany and Bloom In George, I kept the bouquet look In the September feeling. Proteas, Pennygum, equiliptus and all the beautiful September season flowers. It was modern and a bit rustic feeling.
With our table decor and flowers we Used Flowers 4U in George also. We didn’t want to go way out with the decor so we kept it plain and simple with candle tea lights, flowers on every second table and a vintage book set with succulents on every second table.
Our table had a very unique over cloth with a big flower decoration on the table and tea light candles. We hired fiery lights to bring in that extra soft feeling on the deck outside behind our table
