It all began with a friend request.
And the rest is history <3
He proposed to me on the Umhlanga beach next to the whalebone pier.
It was the most romantic moment ever!
I was blindfolded and led very gently down the stairs and onto the beach...
And as I took off my blindfold, I saw the most handsome man I know on one knee in front of me, with "our" song playing in the background...
He had a stunning dinner set up on the beach, complete with candles, rose petals, champagne and a secret photographer who caught the entire thing on camera!
I could not have even dreamed of a more thoughtful and romantic proposal if I tried :)
I was extremely privileged to have most of my guests stay over the night before at the venue itself, which was at the stunning Old Halliwell Country Inn in the Midlands.

My mom and dad were the perfect and best wedding planners I could have ever wanted. They helped me plan (and execute!) everything from the decor to the wedding cake to the arch that was used for the ceremony.
My husband and I designed and put our own wedding invitations together. We used wooden laser cut invites to keep with our very rustic themed wedding.
