How did your love story begin?

Theo and I met at a kids camp called Sugar Bay where we both worked. (I am a born and raised Durban girl and he is from the North West Province) I had left for a while and came back to be greeted by a man that looked exactly like Victor Matfield. I went over and introduced myself. He wasnt very friendly. (According to him he was in the middle of something) After a bit of back and forth flirting, I eventually mustered up the courage to ask him on a date . We walked down to Zinkwazi beach and sat and spoke until about 1 in the morning. From that day we have been inseperable. We have moved around the country together, lived and worked at many places and eventually settled in Cape Town .

Tell us all about the proposal.

We were living in Brits (a small town in the North West Province) and I flew to Cape Town to spend some time with my Mom. I landed at Lanseria airport to be greeted by Theo holding a sign that said : Megan , will you marry me?. Theo and I have different accounts of this moment, but according to me, he slightly froze and forgot to go down on one knee. So I sort of said yes a few times followed by a few tears and lots of hugs and kisses and helped him

The Honeymoon

Theo and I are based in Cape Town and flew to Durbs for two weeks to get married and enjoy being with all our friends and family in one unified space. That was honeymoon enough. We will eventually do a belated honeymoon.
