We were introduced through mutual friends a number of times and there was definitely a spark there, but it was not until almost a decade later when our paths crossed again that we realised that there is something very special between us that needed nurturing. After our first formal "date" I knew that Ingo was the person for me. I had a contract to move to the UK for an assignment, and one week into the relationship I cancelled it, knowing that I couldn't walk away from what could be. I have not once regretted that decision.
We tend to do things in reverse order....so Luca-Miha our beautiful little six year old came first. We had an amazing "honeymoon" three years ago, we got married in July of this year...so I am looking to a proposal in the next couple of years!
We celebrated the day with very special friends and family and we enjoyed all of it. Walking down the isle - the three of us - Ingo, Luca-Miha and I was a highlight.
We were in the Seychelles earlier in the year...I guess since we tend to do things our own way, that counts!
My dress was made by Renata Kuzak, my hair was done by Saadique Ryklief and my make-up by Dyllan Morias. Apart from being great at what they do, they were really special people and we had so much fun in the process.
I wanted something classic and very simple with a bit of drama...they gave me just that!
We got married and stayed over at the Four Seasons Hotel, The Westcliff in Johannesburg. Frank and the team was amazing and treated us like royalty.
