We went to a fair well party with friends
It was Waldo's birthday
We arranged a "surprise"party for him. And I kept every thing secret from him. His friend from far and his Mom were all coming to the party that he did not know about. Little that I knew, every one knew except me
As he was making a welcome speech, he called me up. He got down on one knee and asked if I would marry him
His rugby friends ran to him, because the thought he hurt his knee :)
Everything was a highlight and memorable!! It was so special
But if I can choose one is where we cut the wedding cake.
Waldo wanted the song Thunder Struck from AC/DC, and as you know it is not a easy song to fit into a wedding. I asked one of my friends Francois Bouwer if he would play it on his guitar as we got up to cut the cake.
Waldo had no idea, and the expression on his face was priceless
We went to Merville Beach in Mauritius
I wanted a fairy tale wedding dress( a big stunning dress )
The designer designed a dress for me that had lace detail, and a train that made me look like a princess
Our shoes was floral Tommy shoes, very sweet and very comfortable
My jewelry was crystal en diamonds. My necklace was given to me by Waldo's late Father, so that was very special
Our wedding was at Monte Bello, at the Vista hall
We booked the whole venue, and most of our guests stayed over. Most of Waldo's family is from Witrivier
All the girls came together, we had a ladies night with snacks and drinks
My bridesmaids, my aunts, and my Mother made a big bed, and we had so much fun, just relaxing together
I had a lot of plans and pictures
Maretha from Function & Wedding house is a family friend, and she made all my dreams come to life
It was all shades of purple, with roses and orchids
Fairy lights and "karoo rosies"
Waldo wore a black suite with dark purple tie, and his boys wore a grey suit, with lilac ties
They rented the suits at Mr Suit hire in Nelspruit, because all the men came from that area, we went for a visit at the family and a fitting for the boys
The wore lilac dresses with light grey lace on top
I saw a picture of a dress, and I wanted them to be comfortable but stunning.

Morne from Monte Bello, arranged every thing with Maretha from Wedding & Function house
We did not need any transport as everything was at the Venue.
But for the photos a friend of mine Theo Potgieter is a collector of vintage vehicles, and provided the light green Chevrolet for us with custome made number plates
All the food was prepared by Monte Bello
I havent had a steak that sort and juicy
Cindy made our wedding cake, It looked like it had jumped out of a book!! Most stunning cake ever
Our invites was a glass invite and Lourika made them
The floor art and menu was designed by Mareza
It was so much fun. Arista did the music
We did not go for any lessons. We are from the Free State, we dont need lessons to have a party
