The Perfect Day..

The Story Started..
Well actually it started 5 June 2014, BUT for the wedding story it started 18 October 2016 when the man of my dreams picked a beautiful day on the lookout point on one of the Knysna Heads, overlooking the sea, to ask if we could spend our lives together..

My husband and I planned every detail together - Our big day was going to be a little bit of us!
After finding the perfect venue just outside the quaint little town of Haenertsburg in Magoebaskloof, Limpopo, we started working of the smaller details. Bridesmaids were my sister, Joani, and best friend, Charita, and the Best"man" was my husbands' best friend, Melissa. They each picked their own dress and colour.
Table center pieces was carefully handcrafted by my Father, Paul Jacques - a great artist. Paper trees "growing" out of old books (being a huge bookworm this was the ideal representation of me).
The Save-the-Date, Invitations and Thank you cards were all drawn by my sister. The paper flowers on the table decorations was folded by my sister, mom, Jutta, and stepmom, Marietjie.
My bouquet was inspired by Lia Griffith (https://liagriffith.com/diy-rustic-paper-bridal-bouquet/), and with the help and patience of inspirational friend, Rykie Botha from Crazy Cameleon Scrapping Arts and Crafts, it became a reality!
My make-up and hair was done by my sister.
My dress:
Something Old - It was my mothers old wedding dress
Something New - Covered in new lace,
Something Borrowed - My moms' St. Christopher Pendant,
Something Blue - My sister added a blue flower to my hair..

With the beautiful Autumn colours and the pine forests in the background, together with our friends and family from literally all over the world, and with an old tree as our church, we made our vows to each other.
It was the perfect faerie tale.. my husband with his bare feet and sexy jeans, and me in my faerie dress!

It truly is a memory to be remembered for a lifetime together..
